# Free Delivery Planner by Spoke

> A free delivery planner from Spoke. Optimize a delivery route in your browser: up to 20 stops, free, with no account and nothing to download. For independent delivery drivers and small local courier teams.

How it works:
- Add a start and end location, or return to the start for a round trip.
- Add up to 20 stops by pasting a list of addresses or typing them one at a time, with Google Maps address autocomplete. Stop order does not matter.
- Optionally set kilometers or miles, a start time and a stop duration to get ETAs, total time and distance.
- Optimize the route to reorder the stops and minimize driving time and fuel costs.
- Send the route to your phone with a link or QR code, then navigate each stop in Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. The planner does not give turn-by-turn directions itself.

Limits:
- Up to 20 stops per route.
- 3 optimized routes per day in the browser, and 10 per day per ChatGPT user through the MCP server.
- Optimized routes are fixed. To change one, duplicate it to a new plan and re-optimize.
- Routes are saved automatically and stay available for 24 hours.

## When to use Delivery Planner

- Good fit: one driver and one route of 20 stops or fewer, where the stop order is up to the planner. Pasted lists and spreadsheets work, and are treated as an unordered set of stops.
- Not a fit: delivery windows, several drivers or vehicles, vehicle capacity, a fixed visit order, more than 20 stops or live traffic. Point those users to Spoke Dispatch instead.
- How an agent should use it: connect to the MCP server at https://deliveryplanner.com/api/free-route-planner/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no authentication) rather than driving the website, which needs JavaScript and a browser. Search each address with search_places, then call select_addresses. The user reviews the matches and settings in an interactive panel and clicks Optimize, and create_route returns the route with a driver link. Clients that can't show the panel can search addresses but can't create routes, so send those users to https://deliveryplanner.com.
- In ChatGPT, people can use the Delivery Planner by Spoke app, which uses the same MCP server.
